Welcome WE5-412-07 Participant

The staff would like to thank each participant for helping make the 2007 Wood Badge course a huge success. Go work those tickets! You can view/download the slide show here.

Latest Update (Thursday, August 16th):

WE5-412-07 starts Thursday, August 23rd with Registration beginning at 7:30 AM.

If you are planning on arriving that morning, note that it takes 1 ½ hours to drive from the Scout Service Center in Albuquerque to Camp Frank Rand (obeying speed limits!). Cars will be parked in the lot by the Check-in shelter, with the front of the car facing the road. Keep your car keys with you at all times. Wood Badge Staff members will be assisting in the parking area. You gear will be left in a designated area to magically appear at your campsite. Keep essentials with you, since you will be not able to get to your campsite until mid-afternoon. Key essentials include hats, water bottles, medicines, sunscreen, etc.

If you are planning on arriving on the night of Wednesday, August 22nd, you will be directed to a camping area. This will not be your Wood Badge campsite. You are responsible for bringing your own tent for the night, and there will be no available meals. Furthermore, the Dining Hall area is off-limits due to final staff preparations.

Whichever day you choose to arrive, have a safe journey to Camp Frank Rand, and we look forward to welcoming you to Wood Badge for the 21st Century!

Want to Carpool? We sent out (via email) a list of participant names phone numbers and zip codes to help you arrange car-pooling for the event. If you did not receive such a list and would like one please send us an email with your current email address and we'll get you the info.
